I also love the way they layered the piece by adding in another mesh/tulle overlay under the piece itself (as you can see how the girl in the pink is styling it). Super cute!

flutterby
Am loving lace a lot these days. I can still remember the days when I was just a little girl and i used to TERRIBLY HATE lace to the max because they itch so much. Thank god these days they're less itchy (or perhaps I have merely build up resistance against its itch thanks to another dozen more things that could possibly be itchier than lace), and I love it these days how they lace on the outerpart of the clothing which doesn't totally come into direct contact with the skin. Enough science talk, these "part sweater, part dress", as I would put it, from Korina are amazing. I swear by jellybeans, Asian (meaning Korea/Taiwan/HK/China/Japan and any other amazing fashion oasis) has the best selection of lace pretties. I mean I'm sure Western countries have them too, but you just can't beat Asian nations when it comes to lace + pastel colours to make any girl, well, girlier than they already are. Too bad the price of these eye candies came in their form of the price tag. The sweater costs exactly RM 135, just for the dress itself.

hearts on skin
Sheer x polka dots are not relatively new trends on the block but im still loving it. This dress is especially lovely because its covered with tiny hearts instead of the usual polka dots. I am yet to own a piece of sheer x polka dots/hearts myself. I almost got one about 4 months ago, a 3/4 two-layers polka-dotted maxi skirt that was only RM35 but I really want one that covers right up to my ankles so it'll look more svelte when I don them. Oh well.

the collar issue
Detachable collars are all the rage right now, and I'm for it, except that I find it super difficult to style with. I especially hate it when people style it with jumpsuits or collarless tops. I mean they're good, if you're tall, and probably for editorial or picture-taking, but I find that it would be especially awkward to shop around with a round bib-esque collar around my bare neck when my outfit actually begins at my bust. I think I'm also cutting out the idea of even shopping with another friend who'd wear a detachable collar, I'll probably go like: "Um, are you sure you wanna shop, you know, in that?". Especially horrible if you plan to test on clothes. Or maybe its just because I haven't seen any female walking around in malls in one.
My advice is if you want to go collar-happy, please, for everybody's sake, get one that matches the collar of your top/dress well (if not perfectly), like this dress by MiuMiu, love!

going dot dot dot.. crazy!
Drop waist pleated dresses with a loose tie up front often remind me of an modern update and girlier version of a sailor dress. I love that the dress makes the wearer look softly beautiful without overpowering the wearer, it almost looks mori girl-esque.

Ni-kiyo Sheer Front-Tie Pleated Dress from HaruHaru Collection
Dotty dresses with a simple ruching at the waistline look simple and utterly versatile, and are so easy to match with leggings and flats. Or at least the shops know how to match them well!
